Megan specializes in employment law litigation and counseling. Her clients include high-level executives, private corporations, public entities, and non-profits.
An accomplished litigator, Megan has over a decade of litigation experience before state and federal courts, administrative bodies, and in private arbitrations. She is experienced in all aspects of the litigation process, including pleadings, written discovery and depositions, dispositive motion practice, alternative dispute resolution, and trial preparation. Megan defends employers on the full array of employment law matters, including cases involving alleged violations of Title VII, the Fair Employment and Housing Act (FEHA), the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), the California and United States Constitutions, the California Labor Code, and California’s Private Attorneys’ General Act (“PAGA”). She also provides advice and counsel on diverse employment and labor law issues including wage-and-hour compliance, employee discipline and termination issues, leaves of absence, employee disability issues and the “interactive process,” and both state and federal anti-discrimination, harassment, and retaliation laws.
Megan also has extensive experience advising on and conducting workplace investigations. She has conducted investigations for public and private employers involving a variety of allegations, including harassment, workplace violence, misuse of funds/embezzlement, conflicts of interest, and off-duty misconduct.
