Jamie focuses her practice on employment litigation and counseling for clients spanning a broad array of industries – from construction firms to finance companies, medical groups, law firms, universities, skilled nursing home facilities and start-ups.
Jamie has extensive experience litigating large-scale wage-and-hour class and PAGA representative actions, as well as single and multi-plaintiff lawsuits involving all types of employment claims, including wage-and-hour violations; discrimination, harassment, and retaliation claims; non-disclosure and trade secrets disputes; whistleblower claims; breach of contract disputes, and wrongful termination claims, among others. She has successfully defended employers in state and federal courts, before state and federal administrative agencies, and in arbitrations and mediations across California.
Jamie also provides day-to-day advice and counsel to her clients on a wide range of HR and employment law matters, including wage-and-hour compliance, employee classification, pregnancy and other leave of absence issues, the “interactive process” and reasonable accommodation, and employee hiring/discipline/termination. As an employment law counselor, Jamie partners with clients on litigation avoidance strategies, including conducting HR audits and advising on mitigation strategies. She also drafts critical employment agreements, including separation/severance agreements, non-disclosure agreements, workplace policies, and employee handbooks.
